Sorry for the long delay but we have finally finished the upgrade. Thank you all for your patience! There are some odds and ends but for the most part we are done. The video IM will be here in a day or so. It is up, we just need the new code from the software company. There are a few broken links that will be taken care of this week.

First things first. Please fill out your profiles. Most stuff was carried over but there are new profile fields. Especially, make sure that you fill in your zip code, city and state. Otherwise, you will not come up in the searches.

Now there are some new features like Music, Video, a new Chat and new forums. With all this hi-tech stuff, there will be a learning curve. If you are having difficulties navigating the site, just post them in the forums. Myself and other members are good at answering questions. Or just email me at support@hwerks.com

The front page is a work in progress. Local groups can now be easily found on the front page. So, if your group is not listed, please let your group leaders know. Now that we are will be in the Google and Yahoo searches, we anticipate a LOT of traffic. It has only been word of mouth up until this point.

Events will also be listed on the front pages but only if specifically asked to do so. Please do let me know if you want your event posted. Once your event is over, it will go into a past event section that will show up in the search. This way, users get an idea of what events are available and to see if anything was going on in their area.

While there is a music and video upload area, I just ask that you don't go nuts uploading a ton of songs. One to three songs a piece would help keep the bandwidth costs down. The way it is set up, I have to manually approve all the music and video so give me time to do that please.

Well, now that we got the major upgrade out of the way, there are a few more things that still need to be done. HWerks will always be a work in progress.

I won't lie, this was a very expensive upgrade. Thankfully, at $6/month, there are enough people that are upgraded. If you are thinking about upgrading or your membership is expiring soon, it would really help out tremendously if you went ahead and upgraded. This will keep the site upgrades coming, pay for advertising as well as pay for server fees and development which are very expensive. I am trying to keep the monthly cost at a bare minimum.

We are probably the most advanced H site out there!
