A writer needs your help with misconceptions
Hello! I was just contacted by a writer for a woman's magazine asking for information about HPV.

"Hello,
I am writing a piece on HPV for a women's magazine. There are so many misconceptions and myths surrounding the virus. I am doing research and would love to talk to some folks that are living with HPV and want to share what they've learned. I fully respect anonymity-- I would like to talk to real people about their experience to round out the article.

Thanks so much. My cell # is xxx.xxx.xxx. Take care, Megan"

If you would like to talk to her, please email me and I will pass on her email.

I also started a thread in the forums under Off the deep end / Writer has HPV questions for women. I will pass the answers (without your screen name) to her questions to her via email.

Her questions are:

-How did you feel when you found out you had HPV?

-Did you know what it was?

-Was your doctor supportive/helpful?

-What resources are out there?

-What is your opinion of the HPV vaccine?

-What do you think are common misconceptions or myths about HPV?

-Do you have to do anything differently knowing you have HPV? -More tests, more screening at doctor's office?

-Did you have to talk to your partner or past partners? What was that like and how did you feel?

-What have you learned since you were diagnosed with HPV?

-How does knowing you have HPV affect your sex life?

This is a great opportunity to clear up some of the misconceptions surrounding HPV to help others. It may even include a plug for HWerks so I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks!
