Are you ready for the National Events?
Hello,
For those of you that have never been to a National Event or have never heard of them then you are missing out on a great time!
National Events are multi-day events that allow you to meet people from all across the country and world. Hundreds of H people flock to these events every year. It is a great opportunity to meet the people, that you have been talking to online, face to face.
These events are well organized and take several months to plan. There is an itinerary for each day so you never have to guess what the others are doing.
I remember my first National Event. I would be lying if I said that I was not nervous! I was worried that I would not know anybody and be standing in the corner, by myself, and feeling stupid. LOL, was I never so wrong! That feeling went away within the first 20 minutes! Everybody is so friendly! I quickly found myself talking to a group of people and had the time of my life.
It's funny. You see a lot of people online that seem to know each other. Well, a lot of them do and that is because of these events. I have some really great friends, that I talk to daily, because of these. These are awesome people that I would have never had the opportunity to meet any other way. For those of you that are new to the H world, it gives you the chance to see other people, are in the same boat. You can also do some great networking!
These events are 3 fun filled days and I highly recommend them. Once you go to one, you will be scrambling to figure out how to get to the next!
Yes, there is drinking, dancing and just good clean fun. The people that go are just as important as the organizers that spend countless hours planning these things. You are guaranteed to walk away with a smile on your face thinking, "Damn! That was a GREAT time!" Once you read the forums about what a great time people had, you will be kicking yourself for not going!

May 14-17th:
The Texas National Event in Grapevine, TX. http://www.dfwfriends.com.
Texas is so big that they rotate their National Events every year to different parts. This year it is in Grapevine, TX in the DFW area. These guys know how to put on a party! They say everything is big in Texas and this is no exception! They also have some of the largest local groups as well. It is sure to be an awesome time!

June 18-21st
The Indianapolis National Event..aka Indy! http://www.indylicious.com.
Metsie, Lurkinforlovin and myself run this event. We have an indoor and outdoor pool for 24/7 non-stop fun! We have prizes, games and we even cook on the grill poolside for lunch! Yes, you will actually get to see me work my butt off in person. Warning: You will need an extra day just to recuperate from this event!

August 13-16:
Vancouver, BC National Event!!

Vancouver is throwing their hat in the ring this year for their first National Event! I have been to Canada and they are party animals up there! They took over this year for the Seattle National Event so it is expected to have an awesome turnout! Bring your camera because Vancouver is beautiful! They have a spectacular line up of outdoor activities that only Vancouver can provide!
